Cutting the booze this month? Don’t worry, we got your back. Put down that can of coke, step away from the energy drinks, and tickle your taste buds with one of these delicious, easy to make drinks - without the hangover.
The Bellini replacement
We made this with raspberries, but for a more traditional Bellini copy, swap the raspberries for chopped peach.
Method:
The Mojito replacement
Swap rum for blueberries (trust us, it works) and still get the long, cooling refreshment of the real deal.
Method:
Put 6 – 8 mint leaves in a tall high ball glass. Add a handful of blueberries and muddle together. Add ice, the juice of half a lime, half a teaspoon of brown sugar (or substitute for a shot of sugar syrup) and top with soda water. Stir.
The Moscow Mule replacement
Method:
Muddle 4 – 5 slices of cucumber with half a teaspoon of honey and the juice of half a lime in the bottom of a cocktail shaker. Add a shot of mango puree, fill with ice, shake vigorously. Strain into a tall glass of fresh ice, top with ginger beer and stir.
The Julep replacement Method:
Add ice to tall glass. Pour in one measure of pineapple juice, one measure of orange juice, and one measure of freshly squeezed lime juice. Top with ginger ale and stir in 6 crushed or chopped mint leaves. Garnish with a sprig of mint and a lime wedge and/or pineapple slice, if desired.
The Sangria replacement
Method:
Blend a handful of raspberries with 50ml of sugar syrup and a handful of ice. Add four blueberries to the bottom of a champagne flute, fill the glass halfway with the raspberry blend, and top with soda water.

The Sangria replacement
Method:
Slice an orange into rounds with the peel on and pips removed. Add to a jug with a large handful of raspberries (you can also add blueberries, to taste), and sliced peach. Fill the jug with ice, and top with 50% apple or white grape juice, and 50% soda or lemonade (if you prefer it a little sweeter). Stir slowly and serve over ice.
