London Cocktail Week Highlight: Dictador x China Tang London

The most exciting week of the year is upon us. You know exactly what I am talking about… London Cocktail Week!

And with it, amazing opportunities to try some of the best restaurants and bars in the city! I was invited by Dictador Rum to try the special menu they created with China Tang at the Dorchester. Needless to say, I was not disappointed!

Conceived by Sir David Tang, China Tang offers some of the best and most authentic Cantonese food outside China. I have been to China, so I can tell you one thing, they ain’t lying. The sumptuous interior is to die for, recreating 1930s Shanghai with the perfect balance of art deco and chinoiserie!

Established in 1913 and based in Cartagena, Colombia, Dictador combine Colombian traditions with innovative European and Japanese designs to create a rum rich both in flavor and style. Cesar, the brand ambassador in the UK, kindly invited me to try his range of rum, gin, but also coffee and cigars!
For the London Cocktail Week, get your sweet tushies to China Tang! For £20, the chefs (all from Hong Kong) will treat you to a 3 courses meal and a cocktail to choose from the ones they specially created for the event: Mei Li China Doll (coupette), Carta Tarpa (rock glass) & the Julio (high bowl). Food wise, there’ll be some dim sum, roast duck and ho fun noodles! Now, that’s what I call a special treat!

And if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video says it all!

You’ll find me there listening to live jazz, eating some dim sum and sipping on a Mei Li China Doll (my personal fav!).

Cheers!
