Monthly Merchant: This Week's #WineWednesday Recommendation (and GIN!)

Photo by the wonderful Kasia Burke Photography

Our September Wine Merchant of the Month is The Tasting Room in Bath - and they have a #WineWednesday recommendation to ease you into Autumn...

So, mid-way through the month and we seem to be lilting between warm autumnal days and more chilly, grey weather that heralds the approaching winter.

At Tasting Room Bath we’ve been enjoying a delicious red from the famous Languedoc wine producing region in the South of France. The Chateau Grande Cassagne Les Rameaux is rich and full bodied, and we find the velvet texture a perfect accompaniment to these September days.

With a burst of blackberries on the tongue, you can imagine wandering past ripe clusters in the hedgerows, and the dark cherry and chocolate flavours add a special depth. Not only that, but the spicy character and heady bouquet of sun-roasted herbs brings to mind a cosy fireside... something we’re not far from enjoying as the month makes way for October!

Try a bottle of Chateau Grande Cassagne Les Rameaux for yourself for £10.50 by ordering from The Tasting Room.

And another thing...

We’re loving the new Pinkster Gin - a delicious new tipple that is distilled with British raspberries, giving it a subtle fruity flavour and wonderfully smooth finish.

We like it best in a gin and tonic with a sprig of fresh mint and a couple of raspberries.

The Tasting Room in Bath was recommended to us by the lovely guys at Social and Cocktail - read their guest posts for us here.
