Infused Booze: Vodka Zinger

It's no secret that here at Vinspire we love a good gadget. Whether it's a weird and wonderful ice cube tray or a hilarious corkscrew, we'll love it.

Thanks to the miracle of science and the quite frankly burning desire to make vodka taste good, some amazing people have brought the Vodka Zinger into the world.

So what does it do? Well, basically it makes vodka taste good. It has two separate compartments, one bit for fruit/herbs/spices, one bit for vodka.

Undo the bottom part and put in whatever fruit you desire then screw the blender part on. Reassemble the whole thing and then, like it wasn't simple enough already, put vodka in the top. Finally, give it a shake (remembering the put the lid on first) and hey presto, you have vodka that actually tastes good!

Cheesy line alert! Its only limits are your own imagination (and bank balance - dragon fruit is expensive). Cheesy but true.

The cocktail possibilities are endless. Here are just a few of our favourite flavour combinations:

  • Strawberry and lime: It's a classic but it's a classic for a reason.
  • Pear and rosemary: so you can make an epically flavoured martini - or top up with soda water and some lemon juice.
  • Kiwi, grapefruit and melon: It's a little bit different and massively tropical.
  • Chilli and lime: Infuse some tequila with this and have epic margaritas forever.
  • Cherry and orange: Infuse it into bourbon. Bliss.

Just a few ideas there, but I encourage you to go and be adventurous. Try some different spirits like gin or white rum. Try different fruit flavours, or if you're a complete nutty geezer you could even try veggies. Cucumber gin is seriously nice.

The vodka zinger can hold up to a pint, so it's perfect for having a few people over for some Tuesday night shots or if you've had a particularly bad day and just want to drown your sorrows in some fruity booze. The Vodka Zinger is only £24.99 from Firebox.
