Making RAEN: A video that made me fall more in love with wine

The other evening, I saw a video that totally changed my view on the future of the wine industry.

I have always felt that the industry markets itself really badly, it's out of date and does nothing to appeal to people who don't already have an interest. Thankfully though, I saw on twitter a video about Carlo and Dante Mondavi, that gave me some sort of hope that things are changing for the better.

Carlo and Dante are the grandchildren of one of the world's most influential wine makers of all time; Robert Mondavi. Robert Mondavi revolutionised "new world" wine and made it what it is today. He is credited as one of the first people to label their wines by variety (e.g. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon etc) rather than in the more confusing French style. He was also the man behind Opus One, which is one of the most sought after wines of modern times.

His grandsons have certainly inherited his wine-making genius gene and this fantastic video shows us a little bit about them but in the most fantastic way.

Watch and enjoy, this is what the wine industry is all about:
