Feel-Good Fizz: Koji Relaunches with a New Flavour
Last year, I told you all about Koji drinks - the light, sparkling fruit drinks with super low calories that are made using an ancient Japanese infusion method. They not only get points for being low calorie, but they're also said to aid metabolism and digestion and give you healthy teeth and bones.
Well, this month they are relaunching with a brand new flavour. Adding to the existing mandarin and cranberry and lemon and ginger is now elderflower and lime! They sent me some to try, and the new flavour is definitely the best one yet - light and refreshing, with just enough of each flavour, it's also deliciously subtle without the sugary sweetness you get with other summer drinks.
I genuinely loved drinking it - it was tasty and flavourful without feeling in any way sickly, and had a nice sort of dryness akin to a G&T. Pretty much perfect for lighter summer drinking, and also great to have in the fridge when you're having non-boozing/pregnant friends around for a party or barbecue.
The other two flavours are just as tasty as ever - the lemon and ginger is equal parts warm and cool, and the mandarin and cranberry is super fruity.
If you fancy giving them a try, pop into your local Londis or Budgens (available at selected stores only) or head over to Koji's online store to buy some. They're £18 for a case of 12 330ml bottles (each bottle gives roughly two glasses).
