Today marks the finale of our Christmas giveaways, (boo! Sad face!) but it also marks something much more special and much more jolly: Warner Edwards celebrates their first anniversary! To celebrate, I am SO, SO excited to announce they've donated a bottle of their GLORIOUS gin to give away to one lucky reader today!
The Vinspire team was fortunate enough to discover, visit and write about Warner Edwards in the first fortnight of our existence as a blog (well worth a read to discover their history, ethos and my detailed tasting notes!), and I can honestly say they are the best discovery I've made this year. Their gin is a true labour of love, and it's so refreshing (and sadly, rare) to see a brand that is so genuinely heartfelt.
Their gin is a firm favourite of mine (Sam's too) and was a breath of fresh air to taste: it's the only sippable gin I've ever found (you really can sip it neat! I have, many times...) and it's the most flavoursome, aromatic delight of a spirit, full of flavours like ginger, elderflower, and zesty, peppery, herby notes too.
When Sam, Hugo and I pulled up at their gorgeous distillery in Northants, amid the leftover snow (remember the snow?) and after getting lost several times, we didn't expect to be so blown away by the passion and skill of Tom and Sion. As hosts, they are as warm as they are fascinating, so it's not surprising they've proven so popular with everyone they've met at their many festivals and tastings this year - this includes their new celebrity fans, like Chris Evans, Seasick Steve and Gregg Wallace! (I love those guys.)
While we were there, they told us they'd just found out Warner Edwards had won silver at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition, and since then they've gone on to win several other big prizes, like silver at the International Wine and Spirits Competition and gold at the Northamptonshire Food and Drink Awards. Well, duh. It was bound to happen.

Their special summer Elderflower gin sold out ridiculously quickly, but if you're looking for something to supplement your Warner Edwards kicks, they are also releasing the amazing Warner Edwards Sloe Gin TODAY! Another triumph of their slogan 'united in spirit', many of the sloes were picked by their fans in exchange for a bottle once it was ready. Now that's a teamwork I can get involved with.
You can pick up a bottle of the sloe gin for £27 on their website, but you could also win a bottle of the famous Warner Edwards Harrington Dry Gin (worth £33) by entering our giveaway! Here's how:
See the friendly little Rafflecopter widget below? It's 100% secure and won't use or share your details (They promise) and neither will we (except to tell you that you've won!) You can use it to enter in one/all of these four ways:
1. Like us on Facebook (if you haven't already)
2. Follow us on Twitter (likewise, cheeky)
3. Tweet about our giveaway (we like it when you do that!)
4. Leave a blog post comment below tell us how you like to take your gin. On the rocks? In a particular cocktail? Or just a good old G&T? And don't forget to wish Warner Edwards a happy birthday!
Entry closes at midnight tonight and we will announce the winner on our Twitter and Facebook pages tomorrow.
Who won the Christmas beers case yesterday? It was Jayne Mortimer! We've sent you a little message to let you know.
So, from all of us here at Vinspire, I'd like to say a big HAPPY 1st BIRTHDAY to Warner Edwards. I'm sure it will be the first of a great many.
a Rafflecopter giveaway
