Drinking Games: Wine-opoly!
Well, I believe I may have excelled myself this time.
Wine geeks like me will probably also be a fan of nerdy games like Monopoly (but seriously, everyone loves Monopoly deep down, they just never admit it. PALL MALL, GIVE ME PALL MALL!) What would you say if I told you it was possible to combine these two passions into one glorious whole?
I bring you: WINE-OPOLY! A game of cork popping fun! It says so on the box!
Oh yes. You can roll the dice, stagger past 'Go!' (which is now called 'Cheers!') and make your way through various winemaking regions of the world, buying your favourite bottles and trading grapes for decanters. HOW AMAZING IS THAT?! I can't even.
If you're unlucky enough to get sent to 'jail', you'll actually end up doing time ageing in a wine cellar. Taxes and fines take the form of Import taxes or serving faux pas, and 'chance' cards might mean you win a homemade wine competition, whereas Community Chest will see you answering Wine Quiz questions like 'what is the name of the science of making wine?' (OENOLOGY! I WIN!!)
And what about the pieces? Say goodbye to the boot and the stupid iron, you get to choose from the cork, the wedge of cheese, and the bunch of grapes, among others.
I literally can't think of anything I want for my birthday more. Not even world peace.
Pick up a Wine-opoly board game (for my birthday. No seriously) for £21.95 from Amazon or if it sells out you can grab your wineopoly kicks £19.99 from Games Quest.
